Bu çalışmanın temel amacı 6.sınıf “Kuvvet ve Hareket” ünitesinde yer alan “Bileşke Kuvvet” konusuna yönelik simülasyon destekli bir materyalin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına ve tutumlarına etkilerini incelemektir. Çalışmada yarı deneysel bir araştırma yaklaşımıyla birlikte, ön test – son test kontrol gruplu bir araştırma deseni benimsenmiştir. Bu amaçla, Ordu iline bağlı Altınordu ilçesinde bulunan bir ortaokulda daha önceden oluşturulmuş 6.sınıfa giden ve toplam 41 öğrenciden oluşan iki şube örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Toplanan veriler SPSS 22 paket programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiş ve istatistiki yöntemlerden Mann-Whitney U ve Wilcoxon Sıralı İşaretler testleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda simülasyon destekli materyalin kullanıldığı deney grubunun akademik başarısının kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca bilgisayar destekli fen öğretimine yönelik öğrencilerin olumlu bir tutuma sahip olduğu gözlenmiştir. Fen bilimleri öğretim programında yer alan farklı ünite, kavram ve konulara yönelik etkili simülasyon destekli materyallerin geliştirilmesi önerilmektedir.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of a simulation based material, which is intended for the sixth grade’s subject of “Resultant Force” in “Force and Motion” unit, on the academic achievements and attitudes of the students. In the study, a pretest - posttest research pattern is adopted with a quasi-experimental research approach. For this purpose, two classes constituted formerly are selected as sample which consists of total 41 students in the sixth grade in Altınordu county of Ordu. Collecting data was analyzed with the help of SPSS 22 packaged software and Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks tests were used. At the end of the research, it was seen that the academic achievement of the experimental group was higher than the academic achievement of the control group. Also, it was observed that the students had positive attitudes toward the computer assisted science instruction. Designing simulation supported materials for various units, concepts and subjects in science education is suggested.
