Öğretimde öğrencilerin yaptıkları etkinlikler büyük önem oluşturmaktadır. Bilginin yapılandırmasını da öğrencilerin kullandığı öğrenme stratejileri etkilemektedir. Öğrenme stratejileri öğrenmede, bilgilerin kodlanmasını, kalıcılığını ve transferini etkileyen öğrenci davranış ve düşünceleridir. Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaöğretim 9.sınıf biyoloji dersinde öğrencilerin kullandıkları öğrenme stratejilerini tespit etmektir. Araştırmanın problemini ortaöğretim 9.sınıf biyoloji dersi alan öğrencilerin kullandıkları öğrenme stratejileri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın evrenini İzmir Buca Anadolu Lisesi 2017–2018 öğretim yılı güz dönemi öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem biyoloji dersini alan 100 kişilik 9. sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri ‘Biyoloji dersinde kullanılan öğrenme stratejileri ölçeği’ ile toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 17 istatistik analiz programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Bu araştırmada elde edilen verilerin faktöriyel yapısı tekrar incelenerek güvenirlik ve madde yükleri incelenmiştir. Daha sonra ortaöğretim biyoloji dersi alan öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejilerini kullanım sıklıklarının dağılımı yapılarak elde edilen sonuçlardan tablo oluşturulmuştur. Elde elden bulgulara bağlı olarak ortaöğretim 9. sınıf öğrencilerinin biyoloji dersinde kullanmış oldukları öğrenme stratejilerinin tespit edilmesi sağlanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonuçlarının öğrencilerde bilgiyi yapılandırmayı sağlamak için öğretmenlere yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The activities that students make during teaching are very important. The learning strategies used by the learners influence the structuring of knowledge. Learning strategies are the student behaviors and thoughts that influence the learning, the coding, the permanence and the transfer of knowledge. The aim of this research is to determine the learning strategies used by the students in the 9th grade biology lesson of secondary education. The problem of our research is the learning strategies used by the students who take the 9th grade biology course of secondary education. İzmir Buca Anatolian High School constitutes the universe of the research for the 2017-2018 academic year fall semester students. The sample is the 9th grade students taking the biology course (n: 100). The data of the study were gathered with 'Scale of learning strategies used in biology course'. The data were analyzed by SPSS 17 statistical analysis program. The factorial structure of the data obtained in this study was reexamined and the reliability and substance loadings were examined. Then, a table was drawn from the results obtained by distributing the learning strategies of the students who took secondary education biology lessons.
Depending on the findings in hand, it was provided to determine the learning strategies that the 9th grade students of secondary school used in the biology course. As a result of this research, we are of the opinion that it will guide the teachers in order to construct the knowledge in the students.
