Klasik Türk nesri eserlerinde, ister estetik nesir olsun isterse belâgat kitaplarının sade ve orta üslup olarak kaydettiği eserlerde olsun atıf vâvı (vâv-ı atfî) ile kurulan Farsça atıf tamlamalarının (terkîb-i atfî) kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bunların Arap imlâsına göre meftûh (ve) olarak mı yoksa Fars üslubuna göre zammeli (u, ü, vü) biçiminde okunması ile ilgili araştırmacıların değişik tasarrufları bulunmaktadır. Hatta aynı kelimelerle kurulan ve aynı görevdeki tamlamaların bulunduğu bir eserde tamlamanın birisi atıf vâvı ile okunmuşken diğeri rabıt vâvı (vâv-ı rabtî) ile okunmuştur. Bu yüzden klasik Türk edebiyatı düzyazı eserlerinde, Farsça kurala göre okunan atıf tamlamaları ile Arapça kurallara göre okunan ve Türkçede bağlama grubu oluşturan “ve”nin kullanımının herhangi bir kurala bağlanmadığı görülmektedir. Atıf vâvının eserlerdeki farklı şekillerinin belirlenmesi ve kullanımının nasıl olması gerektiğinin çözülmesi, eserlerdeki karmaşayı ortadan kaldıracağı gibi yazım ve kural birliğine uyulmasını da sağlayacaktır. Klasik Türk nesrinde tespit ettiğimiz ikili kullanımlar bazı belâgat ve dilbilgisi kitaplarının verdiği bilgilere göre değerlendirilmeye çalışılacaktır.

Whether in aesthetic prose or in the work of the eloquence books recorded as simple and medium styles, in the work of classical
Turkish prose, it is seen that Persian reference phrases are used. Researchers have a variety of savings in terms of reading of
these uses, according to the Arabic orthography (ve) or Persian style (u, ü, vü). In one of the works which were formed with
the same words and in the same task, one of the noun phrases was read by Persian style (atıf vâvı), the other one was read
with the conjunction (vâv-ı rabtî). Therefore, in the works of classical Turkish literature, it is seen that the use of the reference
group according to the rules of Persian and it is read in accordance with Arabic rules and its usage in Turkish is not bound to
any rules. Determining the different forms of reference phrase and deciding how to use it will eliminate the chaos in the works
as well as obey the writing and rule unity. The dual usages that we have determined in classical Turkish prose will be evaluated
according to the information given by some rhetoric and grammar books.
