Belirli bir alanda uzmanlar tarafından kullanılan ve özel bir anlam taşıyan kelimelere terim denir. Terim türetme, dilin işlekliği için oldukça önemlidir. Dilin canlılığını arttıran terimler, çeşitli yollarla türetilir ve bu türetmeler birbirine örnek teşkil edebilir. Özbek Türkçesi, bugün en çok konuşulan Türk lehçelerinden biridir ve ortak Türkistan Türkçesi yazı dilinin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Günümüzde geniş bir sahada konuşulan Özbek Türkçesi, bilim terimleri oluşturarak kendi terim terminolojisini yaratmıştır. Bu çalışma, Özbek Türkçesindeki terimlerin oluşumunu gramer terimleri esasında inceleyerek lehçenin terim oluşturma yöntemlerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Özbek Türkçesi gramer terimleri incelenirken kaynaklardan 435 gramer terimi taranmıştır. Bu terimlerden 70’e yakını Batı dillerinden alınmıştır. Çağatay Türkçesi döneminde kullanılan Farsça ve Arapça kelimelerden ise doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak 190’a yakın kelime terimleşmiştir. Geriye kalan 175 terim, Türkçe kökenli kelimelerden oluşmaktadır. Gramer terimlerinin %40’ını oluşturan Türkçe kelimelerin önemli bir kısmı günlük hayattan dile aktarılırken 20 kelime Çağatay Türkçesi söz varlığından yani tarihî metinlerden alınarak terimleşmiştir. Farsça ve Arapça kelimelerin önemli bir kısmı doğrudan alınma yerine türetme, kelime birleştirme, özelleşme yoluyla terimleşmiştir. Bu nedenle Özbek Türkçesinin terim türetme yollarının tespiti için Türkçe türetmelerin tamamına bu çalışmada yer verilmiştir. İncelenen Terimlerden 50’si yapım ekleri ile türetilmiştir. İncelediğimiz 435 terimin 112’si tek kelimeden oluşmaktadır. Geriye kalan 323 terimin 119’u isim tamlaması; 145’i sıfat tamlaması; 6’sı isim-fiil grubu; 3’ü edat grubu oluşturmaktadır.

The words used by experts in a particular area and having a special meaning are called terms. The term derivation is very
important for the functioning of the language. Terms that increase the viability of language are derived in a variety of ways,
and these derivations can serve as examples. Uzbek Turkish is one of the most widely spoken Turkish dialects and the
common Turkestan Turkish language is the basis of the written language. Today, Uzbek Turkish, which is spoken in a wide
field, has created its term terminology by creating terms of science. This study aims to investigate the formation of the terms
in Uzbek Turkish on the basis of grammatical terms and to present the methods of term derivation. While examining the
grammatical terms of Uzbek Turkish, 435 grammar terms were searched from the sources. Nearly 70 of this terms were
taken from Western languages. In Persian and Arabic words, which were expressed in the Chagatai Turkish period, 190
words were termed directly or indirectly. The remaining 175 terms consist of words of Turkish origin. While the majority of
the Turkish words that make up 40% of the grammatical terms are transferred from everyday life to the language, 20 words
have been termed by Chagatai Turkish vocabulary, that is, from historical texts. A significant number of Persian and Arabic
words are termed by derivation, word fusion, and privatization, rather than by direct submission. For this reason, all the
Turkish derivations for the determination of the term derivation of Uzbek Turkish are included in this study. 50 terms
examined are derived with construction suffixes. Among the 435 terms we examined, 112 were single words. The remaining
323 terms, 119 of them were nouns; 145 were adjective phrase; 6 were noun-verb group; and 3 were the preposition group.
