Bireylerin nitelikli olarak iş dünyasına hazırlanmalarında mesleki eğitimin rolü büyüktür. Mesleki eğitimlerinde çeşitli sorunlarla mücadele eden işitme kayıplı öğrencilerin düzeylerine ve ihtiyaçlarına uygun öğretim programı hazırlanması önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Engelliler Entegre Yüksekokulu (EEYO), Yapı Ressamlığı Programı’ndaki işitme kayıplı öğrencilere dengeli öğretim yaklaşımı ile uygulanan Yapı Bilgisi I-II derslerinin iyileştirilme sürecini incelemektir. Sürecin izlenmesi ve değerlendirilmesi amacıyla eylem araştırması olarak desenlenen çalışmanın katılımcıları Yapı Bilgisi I-II derslerini alan işitme kayıplı on öğrenci, işitme kayıplı öğrencilerin eğitimi, mimarlık, nitel araştırmalar ve bilgisayar teknolojileri konularında uzman Tez İzleme Komitesi (TİK) üyeleri ve işbirliği yapılan öğretim elemanlarıdır. Gözlemler, araştırmacı günlüğü, belgeler, ürünler, toplantılar ve kontrol listeleriyle toplanan veriler betimsel ve/veya tümevarımsal olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada TİK’in temsili dersleri kontrol listelerine göre değerlendirmeleri sonucunda öğretim programlarının unsurlarında ve araştırmacının öğretiminde gelişmeler olduğu belirlenmiş ve bu belirlemeler öğrencilerin görüşleriyle de desteklenmiştir.

It is necessary to develop educational programs concerning the levels and specific needs of students with hearing loss who struggle with many problems in vocational education. The purpose of this action research was to examine the improvement process of the Building Construction I and II courses that were applied through the balanced instruction approach to students with hearing loss enrolled in the Architectural Drafting Program of the School for the Handicapped. Participants of the research consisted of the freshmen of the Building Construction I and II courses, the researcher, instructors, and the trustworthiness committee. The data collected compiling various data sets were analyzed through the descriptive and/ or inductive analyzing approaches. As a result of the research, the improvements seemed to have positive effects on the curriculum. The researcher improved in the research method and curriculum. These improvements were declared by the researcher and students.
