This survey is aimed at determination of the attitude of the basic education school students, grade 6, 7 and 8
towards subjects of the physics. The questionnaire is composed of 33 items that were prepared separately for each
subject in the physics of grade 6, 7 and 8 classes and it was applied to 337 students in May 2003, 172 of which are
males and 165 of which are females. In the light of views of the survey experts, it was realized for 9 basic education
schools selected among the schools in the center of Kırşehir by taking into account the education and training
opportunities and the number of the teachers and the students. Within the general framework of the survey, for the
necessary statistical solutions of the data collected for the problems to be answered, SPSS (Statistical Packet for
Social Sciences) program was used and they were interpreted with frequency (f), percentage (%) and One-Way
Analysis of Variance (One-Way ANOVA).
The survey produced two important results. First of these, the attitude of the students in the physics
experiments in the science courses in the basic education schools started to decrease along with the increase of the
class level. The second result is that the attitudes of the students that were changing in the schools classified
according to the different training-education and to the different number of the teacher-student

Bu araştırmada 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin fizik konularına karşı tutumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Anket 6., 7. ve 8. sınıflardaki fizik konuları için ayrı ayrı hazırlanmış toplam 33 maddeden ibaret olup 6. , 7. ve 8.
sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan 172 erkek, 165 kız toplam 337 öğrenciye Mayıs 2003’te uygulanmıştır. Araştırma uzman
görüşleri ışığı altında, eğitim ve öğretim imkanları, öğretmen ve öğrenci sayıları göz önüne alınarak Kırşehir il
merkezindeki ilköğretim okulları arasından seçilen 9 ilköğretim okulunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın genel
amacı çerçevesinde cevapları aranan problemlere yönelik toplanan verilerin gerekli istatistiksel çözümleri için SPSS
(Sitatistical Packet for Social Sciences) programından yararlanılmış ve frekans(f), yüzde(%), ve Tek Yönlü Varyans
Analizi (One-Way ANOVA) yöntemleri ile yorumlanmıştır.
Araştırma 2 önemli sonucu ortaya koymuştur. Bunlardan birincisi; sınıf düzeyinin artmasıyla, ilköğretim fen
bilgisi derslerindeki fizik deneylerine karşı öğrencilerin tutumlarında bir azalma görülmesidir. İkincisi ise farklı
eğitim-öğretim ve öğretmen-öğrenci sayılarına göre sınıflandırılan okullarda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin
tutumlarında değişiklik görülmesidir.
