Makale Özeti: The teaching of grammar has always been a contentious topic of language acquisition, since the teaching approach is often tedious and boring. In regards to this matter, teachers are urged to engage their pupils in a fun and meaningful manner throughout the teaching and learning process. In this new era where digital technologies are indispensable, more innovative tools have gradually emerged in the education field, and their existence are especially prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, this paper attempted to investigate the use of Quizizz in enhancing the pupils’ mastery of grammar during the pandemic. Quizizz is an innovative platform with presentations and gamified quizzes which allows the learners to study at their own pace. The participants of this research comprised a total of 30 Year 5 pupils from a primary school in Kelantan, Malaysia. Data were collected by means of closed-ended items questionnaire via survey research design and were analysed and discussed quantitatively in descriptive analysis. The findings revealed that Quizizz has shown a positive impact among the Year 5 pupils. Results of the study showed that the pupils were more motivated to learn and participate in a fun learning environment. Future research is suggested to extend the use of Quizizz in teaching different language skills.
