Skill education is one of the most challenging areas for teachers in the Turkish course. Moreover, curricula prepared for this course, including the current one, cannot provide sufficient guidance to the teachers for skill education. In a programmed instructional process, teachers need to know their students and the content they are going to teach. And to this end, it is necessary to assess students’ understanding of the content regularly and to design the lessons purposefully in a way to allow transfer of responsibility for the lesson from teacher to students. This is the only way to form purposeful classroom structures where the learning occurs.

Türkçe dersinde beceri öğretimi öğretmenlerin en çok zorluk yaşadıkları alanlardan birisidir. Ayrıca mevcut program da dâhil olmak üzere hazırlanan programlar bu konuda öğretmenlere yeterli rehberliği sunamamaktadır. Programlı bir öğretim sürecinde; öğretmenin öğrencilerini yeterince tanıması ve öğreteceği içeriği de iyi bir şekilde bilmesi gerekir. Bunun için de öğrencilerin içeriği anlayıp anlamadığının düzenli olarak kontrol edilmesi; derslerin sorumluluğun öğretmenden öğrencinin kendisine aktarılmasına olanak tanıyacak şekilde amaca uygun olarak tasarlanması gerekir. Öğrenmenin ortaya çıkacağı amaca uygun sınıf yapıları ancak bu şekilde oluşturulabilecektir.
