Sözcük öğretimi, dil öğretiminin başarısını belirleyen oldukça önemli bir konumdadır. Buna rağmen Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretimi setlerinin çoğunda ayrı bir alan olarak yer almamaktadır. Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde düzeylere göre belirlenmiş bir sözcük öğretimi listesi de bulunmamaktadır. Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde kullanılan sözcük öğretimi
yöntemlerinin de öğreni cilerin düzeylerine göre farklılık göstermediği bilinmektedir. Bu bilgiler ışığında araştırmanın amacı, sözcük öğretiminde kullanılan dinleme etkinliklerinin başarısının saptanması ve bu başarının öğreni ci düzeylerine (B1/B2) göre değişim gösterip göstermediğinin
belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Çukurova TÖMER’de öğrenim gören 17 B1 ve 16 B2 öğreni cisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma ilişkisel araştırma düzeneğindedir. Araştırmada geliştirilen dinleme becerisi etkinliklerinin sözcük öğretimi ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda Audiocity ve Hotpotatoes programlarından yararlanılarak öğretimi amaçlanan sözcüklere uygun alıştırmalar ses dosyası ve yazılı metin olarak geliştirilmiş ve iki hafta süreyle öğreni cilere uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar
frekans tablosu ile gösterilmiş ve öğretilen sözcüklerin öğrenici düzeylerine göre farklılığı Ki-Kare uygunluk testi kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ses dosyası ve Hotpotatoes boşluk
doldurma alıştırması ile geliştirilen sözcük öğretimi tekniğinin sözcük öğretimi başarısını arttırdığı ve bu başarının da öğreni ci düzeylerine göre farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Bu sonuçlar çerçevesinde Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak eğitiminde dinleme becerisi aracılığı ile sözcük öğretimi yapılmasının,
sözcük öğretiminde başarı sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Dinleme becerisi kapsamında yapılan sözcük öğretimi nin, öğrenicilerin Türkçe dil becerilerine önemli katkılar yaptığı gözlenmiştir.

Vocabulary teaching has an important role to play in determining the success of language teaching. In spite of this situation, it does not take a separate part in most of the textbooks of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In addition, there is not any vocabulary teaching list that is adjusted according to levels in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. It is also known that the vocabulary teaching methods utilized in teaching Turkish as a foreign language do not differentiate according to different levels. Taking all these into account, the study aims to determine the effect of listening activities on teaching vocabulary and whether there is a significant difference between the students at two different language levels (B1/B2) in terms of the proficieny of vocabulary they reach. The
participants of the study consist of 17 B1 and 16 B2 students studying Turkish at Çukurova University, TOMER. In this method, the results cannot be generalized since the probablity of being sample is not the same across the units. The study is designed as a correlational research and search for the relation between the listening skill activity and vocabulary teaching. In this sense, taking into consideration the vocabulary aimed to be taught, suitable exercises were prepared as audio file and
written text making use of the Audiocity and Hotpotatoes programmes, and these were applied in the class for two weeks. As a result, the vocabulary teaching technique that was developed with audio f ile and Hotpotatoes fill in the blanks exercise increased the success of teaching vocabulary and this differentiates with respect to the students’ language proficiency levels. These findings indicate that teaching vocabulary through the use of listening skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language has important contributions to success in learning vocabulary.
