Intra-Family Communication and Cyber Life: A Theoretical AnalysisFamily affecting the society most and being the smallest unit of society is a community identified by taking the blood relation among individuals into consideration. Individuals’ interaction, communication and development lie behind the family. As each individual, the family is also unique and has its own running. Family is a school instructing the child coming into the world as an individual in first emotional subjects and teaching how to realize himself. That is why; intra family communication and interaction lie behind bringing up a child. Therefore, there are many studies conducted in intra family communication. In current study; family, intra family communication along with concepts of communication, factors hindering intra family communication, violence in the family, the importance of intra family communication with regards to children and the effect of cyber life on intra family communication are examined with several dimensions and came up with some suggestions.

Toplumu en fazla etkileyen ve toplumun en küçük birimi olan aile kurumu, bireyleri arasında kan bağı temel alınarak tanımlanan bir topluluktur. Aile kurumunun temelinde aile bireylerinin etkileşimi, iletişimi ve gelişimi yatmaktadır. Her bireyin özel olduğu gibi her aile de özeldir ve kendine özgü bir işleyişi vardır. Aile, hayata bir birey olarak gözlerini açan çocuğa, ilk duygusal dersleri veren, bireyin kendini nasıl gerçekleştireceğini öğreten okuldur. Bu nedenle çocuk yetiştirmenin temelinde aile içi iletişim ve etkileşim yatmaktadır. Bu yüzden aile içi iletişim konusunda birçok araştırma ve çalışma yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada da; aile, iletişim kavramları ile birlikte aile yaşamı için önem taşıyan aile içi iletişim, aile içi iletişimi engelleyen unsurlar, aile içi şiddet, aile içi iletişimin çocuklar açısından önemi ve günümüzde siber yaşamın aile içi iletişime etkisi konuları çeşitli boyutlarıyla irdelenerek bir takım öneriler sıralanmıştır.
