Bu araştırmada öğretmenlerin örgütsel muhalefete ilişkin görüşleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın hedef evreni 2009-2010 öğretim yılında Ankara ilinde yer alan 134 resmi genel lisede görev yapan 6449 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Örneklemin belirlenmesinde ‘tabakalı örnekleme’ tekniği kullanılmış ve 381 öğretmen örnekleme alınmıştır. Örnekleme, araştırma kapsamında geliştirilmiş olan ‘Örgütsel Muhalefet Ölçeği-ÖMÖ’ uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler, SSPSS kullanılarak ortalama, standart sapma, frekans ve t-testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada okullarda öğretmen muhalefetini etik dışı, hukuk dışı ve zorbaca davranışlar sergileyen yönetici tutumlarının tetiklediği saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin en sık sergiledikleri muhalif davranış ise doğrudan yöneticiye itiraz etmektir. Araştırmada ayrıca, yöneticilerin muhalif öğretmenleri baskı altına almaya çalıştıkları ve muhalefetin yöneticiler üzerinde olumsuz sonuçlar doğurduğu görülmüştür. Buna karşın muhalefetin okullarda öz-denetim, demokrasi, adalet ve örgütsel yenileşme üzerinde olumlu etkilerinin olduğu saptanmıştır.

Opinions of teachers on organizational dissent were investigated in the present study. The
population of the study consisted of 6449 teachers working in 134 public high schools in the
central districts of Ankara. To determine the sample, ‘stratified sampling technique’ was used
and the sample was composed of 381 teachers. ‘Organizational Dissent Scale-ODS’ developed in
the present study was administered to the sample. The data were collected in the academic years
of 2009-2010 and were analyzed with arithmetical mean, standard deviations, frequencies and
t-test using SPSS Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS). It was found out in the research
that dissent behaviors of the teachers were triggered by the unethical, illegal and bullying
attitudes of the school administrators. The most common dissent behavior of the teachers was to
object their administrators directly. In addition, it was found that school administrators suppress
dissenters and also dissent affects administrators negatively. However, it was seen that dissent
had some positive effects on various organizational processes like self-control, democracy,
justice and organizational renewal
