DESCRIPTION
Hemispheric and Polar Studies Journal (HPSJ) is an electronic, quarterly, bilingual, of open access and non-profit publication managed by the Hemispheric and Polar Studies Center. Founded in 2010, the journal is intended to advance, under the highest standards of quality and ethical behavior, a pluralistic and academic debate among specialists, students, and readers in general. HPSJ focuses on the realities of the Western Hemisphere and the Polar Regions, from the theoretical and applied perspectives of the Social Sciences, Humanities and Education.
The journal adheres to the definition of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) for open access, which establishes that users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the articles, communications, documents, and review articles (totally or partially) without asking for permission. The only constraint is to give authors the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.
MISSION
Hemispheric and Polar Studies Journal (HPSJ) publishes original works that have not been published before, and that are the result of research projects, and undergraduate and postgraduate thesis, duly certified. HPSJ encourages the advance of scientific knowledge in order to promote the academic debate between specialists, students and readers in general. HPSJ focuses on the realities of the Western Hemisphere and the Polar Regions, from the theoretical and applied perspectives of the Social Sciences, Humanities and Education.
